Eclectic charm with effortless luxury | Blue Velvet and Jewel tones

Blue Velvet Shoot

Can you believe we are almost into winter 2019?! This year has flown by but we always  love the transition of bright fun spring and summer colors into warm jewel tones every year. Velvet is slowly but surely making it’s way back into the wedding world from fairy tale land and it is always fab. Vintage classic pieces velvet is coming back with a vengeance.

For this styled shoot we used blue velvet and figs as our as our theme for a fun take on a winter wedding in the Hawaiian islands.

I don’t think anyone can deny the dramatic richness velvet adds to any setup. This Styled shoot was a combination of a luxe classic wedding with a touch of boho chic. The special details involve an acrylic invitation suite, jewel toned florals, deep greens and blue velvet with live fig accents. The combination of figs and velvet really gave a winter wedding vibe even in our Hawaiian wedding venue, the Hawaii State Art Museum. The character in this newly renovated museum seeps out of every crevice. There are so many fun details from the doorways, high windows, blush back drop and arches all around. The blush backdrop was the perfect tone for our magical butterfly release. Having a unique and picturesque venue always helps save a little money on decor because you don't have to do much to make a big impression

Our “sip and be seated” champagne seating chart alternative is the perfect combination of welcome drink, guest favor and seating card all rolled into one. Such a fun way to add a little wow factor as soon as your guests arrive and also combine several items for a little cost savings. We all know that saving money where you can is the name of the game in “wedding world” and this is a great way to do that while looking like a million bucks!
